"Change
by
hypnosis"

Hypnosis is a totally natural state of relaxed body/focused mind that you have experienced many
times.

You are in a
trance state when you get intensely involved in a movie and “feel” the excitement,
danger, and other emotions of the characters.

You are in a trance state when you drive home thinking about your day, and, as you turn off your car,
you realize you have absolutely no memory of stopping – or not stopping -at red lights along the way.

Actually, you enter a natural trance state every 90 – 120 minutes as a part of your normal biological
rhythms, just like your wake/sleep rhythm.

                                              Close your eyes!

Your brain is now producing alpha waves. This is what hypnosis feels like. The first stages of
hypnosis, anyway.

Television is the
ultimate hypnotic. Within 30 seconds of turning on the television, you are producing
alpha waves. In alpha state, you are
relaxed. Passively aware. Composed. SUGGESTIBLE. (Care to
make a wild guess as to why advertisers are willing to spend so much on television commercials?)

In hypnosis,
you do not lose consciousness, the Hypnotist does not control you, you can not be
hypnotized against your will, and hypnosis will not make you do something that violates your ethics
or beliefs.

BUT…just because you have experienced trance states many times does not mean you will be
instantly expert at entering one at will. It’s sort of like laughing spontaneously compared with making
a decision to laugh. It’s not as easy as you think it is.

As with everything else,
you get better through practice. And, everyone has their own method and
time table for becoming expert.

In
choosing to relax into hypnosis, you are automatically choosing to become more suggestible.
Usually, the more relaxed you are, the more impressionable you are. Hypnotic suggestions can alter
your behavior, at least temporarily (Or, you can resist, and absolutely nothing will happen.)

With Hypnotherapy, which uses hypnosis for healing, temporary
changes are made in your behavior.
The changes in your behavior create positive outcomes. Positive outcomes cause you to choose to
continue the behavior that keeps you on the path of healing. This changes your attitudes and beliefs,
and
it is the re-education of your attitudes and beliefs that make the changes permanent.

It is a perfectly natural process.

So is reading, once you get the hang of it. But to people who can’t read, being able to look at marks
on a page and access all the written information in the world seems like an incredibly powerful and
miraculous thing.

And, as with reading,
what you get out of hypnotherapy depends on what you put into it. Your
Hypnotherapist does not have a magic wand that will make all your wishes come true simply because
you're a nice person. S/he is a trained guide to help you get where you want to go, and YOU  make
the trip.

Hypnosis is not the only way to change your mind to change your life, but it is the fastest, most
effective, natural, and drug free tool you can use.
