"Change
by
hypnosis"
Individually Designed is Ideal: If you believe the best hypnosis sessions are designed specifically for
you (after extensive interviewing to find out who you are and how you operate), you are right. When an
experienced therapist takes the time to tailor the sessions to your goals, habits, and life style, you get a
program that slides easily into your daily routine. Since every person, even an identical twin, is unique,
this is the ideal way to go.

And, you would probably walk easier in a pair of custom made shoes, too.

And, you might look a little sharper in a custom made jacket.

On the other hand, a lot of people – despite their tremendous variety in shape, size, and taste - can look
pretty sharp by applying some creativity and intelligence to off-the-rack products.

The same can be true of generic Hypnosis CDs

Generic CDs can be almost as good: With intelligence, imagination, and repetition, you can use
Hypnosis CD’s to make a lot of valuable changes. Results may not happen quite as quickly, but maybe
they will, too, and does it even matter? Results are results, right?

Very personal and specific issues and fears are difficult to deal with by generic recordings, of course.
Guided regression to relieve specific past issues requires a real live trained therapist, and that’s always
an option if your problem persists.

Going into hypnosis is a skill, and most people get better with practice. If you eventually choose to take
go to a Hypnotist or Hypnotherapist for personalized attention, you will already have valuable
experience and training which can speed up the process.

Choosing a change: Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for speeding up changes, but, please, use it for one
change at a time.  By focusing on just one issue, you can see and feel the beginnings of change in just a
few days. When that happens, stay with it. It will get easier and more familiar, but new behaviors are
fragile. Stay the course until the new behavior is automatic, and then proceed with other changes
gradually.

It’s okay to pair up a couple related issues like healthy eating and exercise. You are setting yourself up
for failure if you expect to quit smoking, stop procrastinating, and learn Spanish simultaneously.

When you feel confident that you have made a change, it’s still probably wise to wait another month
before you go on to another issue. Old habits remain engrained in the mind, and stress has a way of
activating them. Overloading yourself with changes can be a source of stress.

To get started, choose ONE goal:
        Know what you want to accomplish.
        Be sure you will be happy with ALL the results when you accomplish it. Some women, for
example, do NOT want the kind of attention they get from being slim and attractive. Whatever you
want to change, you get some kind of benefit from it, or you wouldn’t be doing it. Unless you can
be comfortable when that benefit is gone, you will not change, no matter what you do.
        Be committed to devote the time, effort, skill, and resources needed to get the results you
want. (Imagining yourself slim may get you to sign up at the gym, but you still have to make time
in your day to actually GO.
        Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses realistically. If you can’t pass up a cigarette when
you are drinking beer with smoking friends, don’t drink beer with those friends and meet them
    where they can’t smoke.
        Choose a CD program that works your style and strengths…..this is very important:  If you
bristle and get irritated when anyone gives you an order, you won’t respond well to authoritarian
instructions that say “you will”; You may find that you can make better progress if you chose a
more “indirect” style suggesting that you might do this or you might do that.

Take your time and do your homework.  Remember, you are making an investment…in the most valuable
asset you will ever have: YOU!

You owe yourself at least as much care, attention, and maintenance as you put in your second most
important asset.

Follow the program: In taking care of yourself, you need to exercise MUCH more care than you would
towards your second most valuable possession…which means:

        Choose one CD program that matches your needs, goals, and style.
        Set aside time every day, preferably at the SAME time of the day, to play your CD.
        Give it your very best. Follow the instructions carefully, and you will improve your ability to
follow instructions while you improve your life.
        Do any suggested additional exercises exactly as specified as often as specified.
        Accept that changes may be subtle and small at first.
        Play your CD every day for a minimum of 28 days.
        Respect the urges you get to do things that you know are in alignment with your goals…this
is your subconscious mind helping you. If you don’t respect EVERY SINGLE ONE, your
    subconscious will stop helping you.
        Know that you are different than everyone else. Don’t compare. However you “do it” is just
    right for you.

Your subconscious believes what you believe.  Trust…and follow directions…and magic happens.
